Uplift Washington! is where the community that enjoys, shares, publicizes and cherishes the Christian Science Sentinel Radio Edition broadcasts in Washington State, USA, gathers. We trust the healing messages related in the broadcasts can uplift every heart, and work to spread those messages throughout the state.

This site is sponsored by the Washington State Broadcast Committee. Made up of volunteers, the WSBC is funded entirely by donations from listeners. It’s sole purpose is to “…promote and expand broadcast opportunities for Christian Science in the State of Washington by presenting broadcasts of publications authorized by the Christian Science Publishing Society.” The committee operates according to bylaws approved by members of Churches of Christ, Scientist, throughout Washington state.

  1. Bill:
    Good news!
CSSRE 1/29/12 started and ended on time.

Another question: At moment I can’t find it, but last time I could the KVI AM 570 CSSRE listing on the CSPS list of all cities and stations still listed 7:30AM as broadcast time. Has this been updated?

Phil: Thanks for keeping tabs on our stream on KVI.com. We’ve been working with KVI to get the technical issues corrected, and it looks like they’ve been successful. KVI.com is pretty much run by computer, so apparently it wasn’t easy to get everything straightened out.

We have let the Christian Science Publishing Society know that our Sunday morning airtime on 570 KVI has changed from 7:30 to 8 a.m. We’re told that the new time for Seattle will appear in the next edition of the station listings for Sentinel Radio.

Please tell everyone who likes the broadcast that they can listen to this week’s program 24/7 at SentinelRadio.com — no matter where they in the world they might happen to be. Thanks, Phil.

  2. Thanks for your questions, Aleta. There is a lot of interest in these topics, we’ve gotten other inquiries. There are short answers and long answers. The WSBC is providing the short answers. We want the Field to help us work out the long answers:

    Here are the short answers:
Yes, the radio broadcasts will continue into 2012.
Yes, there is still a need for churches to contribute.
Yes, there will still be announcements (‘tags’, we call them) at the end of the program.

To the help the Field participate in developing long term answers (costs? what will happen after 2012?), we are doing two things.
First, we are asking every Christian Science church and society in Washington state to identify a person to be our point of contact. Second, we are converting this web site to a private chat space to enable ‘real-time’ communication with those contacts and other supporters.
We look forward to chatting with you here in the near future.

    Thanks again,
    Bill Boyd
    Chair, WSBC

  3. What will happen with the radio program beginning in the new year? Will there be a need for churches to contribute? Will there be radio announcements? Costs?

    Thanks,
    Aleta
